Positive News for Regional Jobs Committees!

We’re thrilled to share that the Regional Jobs Committees have been featured in the 2025-2026 Queensland State Budget, with an additional two years of funding announced yesterday!

This continued investment is a strong vote of confidence from the Queensland Government in the work being done across the state to connect local people with local training and employment opportunities.

The Springfield Regional Jobs Committee, established in 2018, is incredibly proud to have played a key role in driving workforce outcomes for our region. With over 1 million connections made each year, we remain focused on our vision:
* Every local having access to employment or training options that suit their needs
* Every employer being able to find the right staff to grow their business

Through targeted events, industry engagement, community education, and our much-loved Springfield Jobs Portal, we’ve worked hard to support both jobseekers and employers across Greater Springfield and beyond.

We would like to sincerely thank Ros Bates MP, Minister for Trade, Employment and Training, and the Crisafulli Government for their ongoing commitment to skills and employment in Queensland.

This announcement signals a bright future for local employment programs and we look forward to continuing to deliver positive outcomes for the community.

Stay tuned, we will share further updates as more details become available.
Together, we’re building stronger, more connected regional workforces!
