New Queensland Skills Strategy!
This week the Queensland Government introduced the Good Jobs, Great Training: Queensland Skills Strategy 2024 – 2028, which follows the biggest review of the state’s training system in almost a decade.
We love the vision that “Queensland is a job-creating, economic powerhouse driven by skilled Queenslanders”. ⭐⭐⭐ Did you know that 1 in 3 Queenslanders hold a vocational education and training (VET) qualification as their highest qualification?
One of the key takeaways from the Queensland Skills Strategy is the proposal to train 1 million Queenslanders through Free TAFE and subsidised courses with
🎯 More Free TAFE
Bringing down costs for Queenslanders to secure good, well-paid jobs
🎯 Funded courses for all career stages
From training for school students to higher-level skills
🎯 New and upgraded TAFEs
With state-of-the-art training facilities
🎯 TAFE for communities
Delivering training and community services to meet local needs
🎯 TAFE driving excellence
Leading quality and future skills delivery through collaboration and TAFE Centres of Excellence
