Local Graduates Honoured at Business4Heroes Celebration

This morning, the community proudly celebrated the graduation of participants in the Business4Heroes program, delivered by Wounded Heroes Australia under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, proudly funded by the Queensland Government.

The program has equipped trainees with practical workplace skills, confidence, and resilience, supporting their transition into employment and further education pathways. Each graduate’s achievement stands as a testament to their determination and commitment to building a stronger future for themselves and their families.

Representing the Springfield Regional Jobs Committee, Chair Rees Banks and Project Manager Liz Conroy were delighted to connect with The Hon. Amanda Stoker MP, Assistant Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training, during the celebration. The meeting highlighted strong government support for locally driven workforce solutions and reinforced the vital role of Regional Jobs Committees in shaping training opportunities across the region.

“Today’s graduates remind us of the power of targeted training and the real difference it makes for individuals, families, and communities,” Mr Banks said. “Programs like Business4Heroes are exactly the kind of practical, skills-based pathways our region needs to connect people with meaningful work and opportunity.”
