Inala Study Hub Strengthening Local Pathways to Education and Employment

The Springfield Regional Jobs Committee recently visited the Inala Suburban University Study Hub to learn more about the positive impact the initiative is having across Brisbane’s south west.

During the visit, Project Manager Elizabeth Conroy met with Dr Su Ann Tan to discuss how the Hub is supporting local students and helping remove barriers to further education.

Established to make tertiary education more accessible, the Inala Suburban University Study Hub provides free study spaces, high speed internet, computers, printing facilities, academic support, wellbeing services and career guidance for students enrolled in university, TAFE and vocational education and training programs. By providing these services close to home, the Hub is helping more people commence and successfully complete their qualifications.

One of the standout features of the Hub is its welcoming and supportive environment. Students have access to practical resources while also benefiting from opportunities to connect with others, build confidence and receive personalised support throughout their education journey.

The initiative is also playing an important role in strengthening pathways between education and employment by helping develop a skilled local workforce to meet the needs of industry.

The Springfield Regional Jobs Committee values opportunities to connect with organisations that are improving access to education and supporting workforce participation. As the Committee continues to work alongside education providers, employers and community partners, initiatives such as the Inala Suburban University Study Hub demonstrate the important role local collaboration plays in building a stronger workforce for the future.
