Skilling Queenslanders for Work Graduates Celebrated at Wounded Heroes Australia
The Springfield Regional Jobs Committee was pleased to attend the recent graduation ceremony for participants in the Skilling Queenslanders for Work program delivered by Wounded Heroes Australia.
The program provides practical training, nationally recognised qualifications and valuable work experience, helping participants build confidence, develop new skills and prepare for employment. Through hands on roles supporting the organisation’s café and op shop, trainees gain real workplace experience while contributing to a purpose driven organisation.
Importantly, the success of these social enterprises helps Wounded Heroes Australia continue delivering vital support services to current and former Australian Defence Force personnel and their families. Every coffee served, donation sorted and customer assisted contributes to the organisation’s ability to provide practical assistance to veterans when they need it most.
It was also wonderful to see Mr Jon Krause MP, State Member for Scenic Rim attend the graduation and personally congratulate participants, presenting each graduate with their certificate in recognition of their hard work and achievement.
Programs such as Skilling Queenslanders for Work demonstrate the powerful role that training, community organisations and industry partnerships play in creating pathways into employment while strengthening the communities they serve.
The Springfield Regional Jobs Committee congratulates all graduates and acknowledges Wounded Heroes Australia for its ongoing commitment to building skills, creating opportunities and making a meaningful difference in the lives of participants and veterans alike.
