Festival of Learning 2025 Commences at Springfield Central State High School
The Greater Springfield education community came together today to celebrate the official commencement of the Festival of Learning 2025.
Run every second year by the Greater Springfield Learning Coalition, the Festival provides more than 30 engaging learning experiences for both staff and students, highlighting collaboration, creativity, and innovation across the region’s schools.
This year’s program began with a Professional Development Day, bringing together more than 1,100 teachers, principals and school staff from 11 Greater Springfield schools. The day focused on building resilience, strengthening professional connections, and sharing knowledge across the education sector.
A highlight of the morning was the keynote session delivered by three former Australian SAS veterans, who shared practical techniques on overcoming adversity. Their stories provided staff with valuable lessons that resonate not only in the classroom but also in everyday life.
Organisers said the Festival continues to be a cornerstone event in the local education calendar, demonstrating the collective strength of the Greater Springfield community.
The Festival of Learning 2025 will continue from 8th – 12th September 2025, with a series of activities designed to inspire both students and educators, reinforcing Greater Springfield’s reputation as a hub of educational excellence.
