Exploring the Future of Manufacturing: Australian Cobotics Centre Research Showcase
In early December, Rees, Liz, and Sarah attended the Australian Cobotics Centre Research Showcase and Industry Symposium at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). The event offered a fascinating glimpse into the future of manufacturing in Australia, focusing on the transformative potential of collaborative robotics (cobots).
Cobots are revolutionising industries by enabling growth, enhancing innovation, and creating new opportunities across various sectors. The symposium underscored the importance of partnerships between academia and industry in driving technological advancements.
One of the exciting opportunities on the horizon is the potential collaboration with QUT through the Building Women’s Careers Grant. This initiative aims to empower women in manufacturing and IT industries, fostering a more inclusive and diverse workforce.
As we eagerly await the announcement of successful grant applicants in early 2025, the team remains committed to advocating for #FutureJobs and advancing gender equity in these critical sectors. Stay tuned for updates as we work towards a more innovative and inclusive future!
