We Stand in Solidarity This Queensland Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month

The Springfield Regional Jobs Committee stands in solidarity with our community during Queensland Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, reaffirming our shared commitment to safety, respect, and support for all.

We were deeply moved and honoured to attend the Greater Springfield Domestic and Family Violence Remembrance Night, hosted by Charis Mullen MP, State Member for Jordan. The evening brought together community members, service providers, and advocates to reflect on the devastating impact of domestic and family violence and the urgent need for prevention and change.

The program included heartfelt reflections from the Queensland Police Service and the Domestic Violence Action Centre, each sharing insights and stories that underscored the importance of collective action and community awareness.

The night concluded with a poignant candlelit walk, honouring the lives lost to domestic and family violence and reminding us all of the work that still lies ahead.

The SRJC remains committed to fostering a community where every individual feels safe, valued, and supported—and where we work together to break the cycle of violence.
